Curriculum

Our HIGH REACH LEARNING curriculum program is based on the philosophy that children learn best by doing. Our hands-on approach includes a balance of child-initiated and teacher-directed activities each day. It is our goal to address the need of the whole child in a way that makes learning fun and meaningful. All learning activities are age appropriate that stimulates brain development, language development, promotes small and large muscle coordination, and much more.

This program is designed to allow children to explore the world around them. Color, shapes and numbers are just a few of the important skills children learn. Monthly themes are targeted for special concepts and cover a multitude of learning materials. Learning centers offer choices that encourage the children to explore while primary objectives are introduced through classroom facilitation.

A parent information guide and the family letters are used to help parents reinforce learning concepts. Additionally, the developmental skills checklist keeps parents abreast of their child’s progress. Teachers maintain portfolios on each child. These portfolios include a sampling of a child’s work that has been collected at different times.
