Parents are involved, involved, involved…

Parents have been involved in the grass roots of our organization since it’s inception and has played a vital role in our history. It was the parents that emerged to seek support for the continued operation of the facility in May 1973. It has been because of our parent’s involvement that facilities were constructed and renovated. Our parents have supported our program in remarkable ways including their time, gifts and presence. They recognize the value of parental involvement in the success of their children’s education.

Parents can best be identified after center normal hours when they come together to take care of business through a group called the Parents Coalition. Additionally, the Board of Directors includes two parent representatives that have full voting privileges.

Parents give of their time during field trips, reading in the classroom, helping during celebrations and serving during outside play.

Parents give of their gifts by sharing in the classroom their professions, insights on culture and their special talents.
